1.25 inches of hail on the ground. On the weather radar map we were in the most intense part of the storm (purple) that centered over Big Thompson Canyon. Other areas reported rain but no hail. The standing hail cooled the air off so much we had dense fog for hours, the air temp dropped from the 70s down to 48 degrees and stayed there. Next morning, still hail on the ground. |
