Notes: |
Only a few big drops of rain fell before the hail. We have never seen hail like this. The indentions on the hail pad were hail made up of tens of small hail. In our house it sounded like tennis balls hitting. When the hail hit the ground it was just like an explosion, with hail fragments bouncing two feet into the air. The dents in recently worked ground were the size of tennis balls! We really needed a video camera to catch the intensity of it. There were a few leaves off our apple tree but our tomatoes look fine. |
