Notes: |
AVERAGE SIZE OF HAILSTONES WAS PING-PONG SIZE. A FEW LARGER ONES AT 2 INCHES. (USED TWO INCH CAR KEY TO ESTIMATE.) HAIL FELL INTENSELY FOR 4 MINUTES AND COVERED ABOUT 1/3 OR 1/4 OF THE GROUND. MOST HAIL I HAVE SEEN IN THIS REGION IN 40+ YEARS OF WEATHER OBSERVING. TOOK SOME PICTURES, BUT SOME MELTING OCCURRED BY THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO DO THIS. |
