Hail started out at 9:12 am and was intermittent throughout the event, occurring during the heavier bursts of rain. Hail was mostly smaller than 1/4" for the first few minutes...hail picked up in size and intensity at 9:17 am. The largest size was 0.6", this piece looked like two pieces fused together prior to falling to the ground, and was much longer than wide. The rest of the observed hail was 0.4" in diameter or smaller. |
